The Germ holding a name tag

Built around the challenge

Two starting points.
Two conversations.

Spark and Build are priced and can be started from this page — the scope is defined, so the number can be too.

Transform and Partner begin with a conversation instead. Work at that size shouldn't be forced into a fixed package, and quoting it before understanding it would only mean revising the quote later.

The plan gives us a starting point.
Your challenge defines the journey.

Extend your engagement

Need something more?
Add what creates value.

Add capabilities because they solve something — not because they fill a package.

  • NamingAdd strategic naming to a Build or focused engagement.
  • Motion identityBring the brand to life through motion.
  • Content productionExtend the brand into launch and ongoing content.
  • E-commerceAdd transactional digital experiences.
  • AI integrationIntroduce intelligent capabilities into digital products.
  • AutomationConnect repetitive workflows and business processes.
  • AnalyticsBuild measurement into the experience.
  • Ongoing optimizationContinue improving after launch.

Don't fit in a box? Good.

Some challenges need their own shape.

Complex organizations, multi-brand businesses, large digital platforms and specialized AI initiatives don't always fit naturally into a predefined engagement.

In those cases, we build a custom Germar team and roadmap around the challenge.

Clear about investment

Scope first. Price second.

The cost of meaningful work depends on what needs to be solved, how much needs to be built and which capabilities are required.

Rather than inflate packages with things you don't need, we define the right scope first and price the engagement around it.

  • Clear scopeKnow exactly what's included.
  • Clear investmentUnderstand the cost before work begins.
  • Clear milestonesPayments aligned with agreed project stages.
  • No surprise add-onsScope changes are discussed before additional work begins.

You should understand what you're investing in — and why.

Built around milestones

Investment that follows progress.

Project engagements are divided into payment milestones aligned with the major stages of the work.

  1. 01Project startThe deposit that reserves the time and begins the work.
  2. 02Strategic / creative milestonePayment at an agreed approval stage.
  3. 03Development / productionPayment as the project moves into build.
  4. 04Final delivery / launchThe balance. Delivery is released when it clears — the system enforces that, not just the contract.

The exact structure is set out in each project proposal.

The Germar standard

Different plans.
The same standard of thinking.

The scope changes. The standard doesn't.

  • Strategic thinkingWe understand before we execute.
  • Clear project roadmapKnow where we're going and what happens next.
  • Direct collaborationWork with the people thinking and creating.
  • Structured reviewsClear moments for feedback and decisions.
  • Quality controlEvery important deliverable is reviewed before release.
  • Documented deliveryImportant systems and outputs are prepared for continued use.
  • Transparent communicationKnow where the project stands.

Because unlimited rarely means better.

Great creative and strategic work requires prioritization, attention and thoughtful decisions. We prefer clear capacity, realistic expectations and quality execution over promises designed to sound unlimited.

Focused effort creates better work.

The same for everyone

What applies to every plan.

  • Priced by a defined scope, never by the hour.
  • Any change to the scope is quoted before the extra work starts.
  • Revision rounds beyond the ones named in the plan are $150 an hour — stated up front, not discovered at the end.
  • Final delivery is released when the project is paid in full. The system enforces this, not just the contract.
  • Domain and hosting stay in your name and on your account. We set them up and launch; you own them.
  • You provide the existing materials, one decision-maker, and feedback within three working days.

If it doesn't work out

Refunds and cancellation.

  1. 01Cancel within five days of paying and before the discovery session takes place, and the refund is full.
  2. 02After the discovery session, or once work has begun, the deposit is not refundable — the time is reserved and the work has started.
  3. 03If the studio declines the project — wrong fit, or no capacity — the refund is 100%, whenever that happens.
  4. 04Balance payments cover work already produced and are not refundable once the stage is delivered.
  5. 05A project can be paused once, for up to thirty days, at no cost. After that it is rescheduled around what is free.
  6. 06Changing direction after a stage is approved is new scope and a new quote, not a refund.
  7. 07Refunds return to the original card, through Stripe, within five to ten working days.

Good questions

Before you choose.

  • Do I need to know which plan I want?

No. Tell us about the challenge and we'll recommend the most appropriate starting point — including when the answer is none of them.

  • Do you publish fixed prices?

For Spark and Build, yes — the scope is defined, so the number can be too, and both are on this page. Transform and Partner are scoped in a conversation first, because quoting work at that size before understanding it only means revising the quote later.

  • Are the plans fixed?

They give a clear framework, but the final scope is shaped around the project. What does not move is the price of what was agreed — any change is quoted before the extra work starts.

  • Can I buy one capability only?

Yes. Spark exists for exactly that, and individual capabilities can be scoped separately where it makes sense.

  • Can we add capabilities later?

Yes. Add-ons are introduced when they solve something — not to fill out a package.

  • Do you offer monthly retainers?

Yes. Partner is 25–30 hours a month with a three-month minimum. Hours do not roll over, because unused capacity is capacity nobody planned for.

  • Can you work with our internal team?

Yes. Germar works alongside internal marketing, design, technology, product and leadership teams rather than around them.

  • Do you work with startups?

Yes — when there is a serious ambition to build something meaningful and the engagement is a good fit for both sides.

Still not sure?

You don't need to choose before we talk.

Tell us what you're trying to build, change or solve. We'll tell you which starting point fits — including when the answer is none of them.
